Unstoppable Domains Adds .eth Domains Through Partnership with Ethereum Name Service

  • Unstoppable Domains is adding support for Ethereum Name Service (ENS) domain endings, expanding its Web3 offerings.
  • Users can register simplified names with .eth domain endings to house their digital identity on the Ethereum blockchain.
  • Unstoppable Domains aims to attract new users by offering .eth domains alongside .crypto, .nft, and .polygon domain endings, providing additional features such as auto-renewal and fiat payment options.

Two leading platforms powering Web3 decentralized domains are now available under one roof after Unstoppable Domains announced support for .eth domain names from the Ethereum Name Service (ENS).

The two service providers have been key players in the Web3 domain space, allowing users to create human-readable domain names as well as cryptocurrency wallet addresses. Decentralized domains also serve as a profile throughout the Web3 ecosystem, unlocking a slew of new features.

As previously reported by Cointelegraph, Unstoppable Domains, and ENS accounted for a combined six million domain registrations in early 2023, with registrations increasing significantly from 2022 onwards.

Users can now purchase .eth domain names through Unstoppable, which has added payment methods and functionality to help with the ENS domain. All .eth domains purchased from Unstoppable will be registered via the ENS smart contract and will have the same functionality as those registered directly via ENS.

Unstoppable also allows users to buy.eth domains without linking them to an existing Ether (ETH) wallet. Unstoppable Vault, a noncustodial offering that allows users to secure Web3 domains without first having a cryptocurrency wallet, provides for this.

ENS users can also use Unstoppable’s auto-renewal mechanism, eliminating the need to renew .eth domains on-chain and the risk of losing a domain as a result.

The integration with Unstoppable also enables eth users to purchase their desired Web3 domain using various payment methods, including Bitcoin (BTC) and 12 different cryptocurrencies and traditional fiat payment options such as credit cards, PayPal, Google Pay, and Apple Pay.

Unstoppable is also working on .eth domain management tools, which will allow users to create cryptocurrency addresses, manage on-chain profile data, and transfer.eth domains.

According to an announcement, users who purchase.eth domains through Unstoppable can use ENS integrations. .eth domains purchased through Unstoppable, on the other hand, will not work with Unstoppable’s 800 or so integrations.

Unstoppable also supports other web3 domains, such as .nft, .crypto, .wallet, .dao,.bitcoin, .polygon, .BinanceUS, and.blockchain.
