- Blockchain developer platform Alchemy has released two AI-powered tools for Web3 builders.
- Chatweb3 and Alchemy ChatGPT will be available in the coming weeks.
- At the moment, users can join the waiting list and be notified of the development updates.
Alchemy, a platform for blockchain developers, unveiled AlchemyAI, a set of tools that will use artificial intelligence to aid Web3 developers in accelerating the development of their products and accessing data faster.
Over the following weeks, two flagship products for AlchemyAI, ChatWeb3, and Alchemy ChatGPT Plugin, will be accessible. This will make the blockchain platform the latest Web3 company to reveal ambitions to use large language models (LLMs) like ChatGPT on blockchains with the launch of its new AI suite.
According to AlchemyAI, their solution stems from a need to provide a tool that can keep up with the fast-paced changes in Web3, arguing that ChatGPT and Github Co-Pilot have simplified the time and process of coding but have not been up to the task in problem-solving and blockchain development because they cannot keep up with rapid changes in web3.
ChatWeb3 is described as an AI chat tool, accessible in the Alchemy dashboard, designed to revolutionize the way developers build web3 projects and has been trained on 1000s of pages of web3 documentation so that developers can write cleaner and more efficient codes.
What are some of the questions that one can ask ChatWeb3?
Having been trained on 1000s of pages of web3 documentation, Alchemy argues that ChatWeb3 will be able to answer web3 queries right at your fingertips, such as;
- What are the best Alchemy APIs that I should use for building a crypto wallet?
- How can I save gas costs on contract deployments?
- Write me a sample code to build an NFT minter.
Alchemy ChatGPT Plugin
The Alchemy ChatGPT plugin will be available in OpenAI’s plugin store. It is a tool that will enable users to get blockchain data through natural language; for example, you can ask it to provide the current balance of vitalik.eth, which will show the balance.
Currently, the tool can pull information from several blockchains, including; Arbitrum, Ethereum, Polygon, and Optimism. The device will finally be able to work with more chains.
Founded by Nikil Viswanathan and Joe Lau, in 2017, as backend technology behind the blockchain industry, Alchemy went from public launch to a $505 million valuation in just a few months. The company would raise several million dollars, including $80m in a Series B round in 2021. The blockchain firm has high-profile investors, including Jay-z, Charles Schwab, and former Yahoo CEO Jerry Yang.
The plugin is in beta and invite-only, and you could sign up for a waitlist. Currently, this tool can get information from several blockchains, such as Arbitrum, Ethereum, Polygon, and Optimism. Alchemy says that the tool will finally work with all of the chains Alchemy can handle.
The plugin uses Alchemy’s web3 API to get real-time blockchain data. At the moment, one can retrieve limited information due to ChatGPT’s context limit, as not all Alchemy APIs are currently being used. Data that the Alchemy ChatGPT plugin can retrieve include; account balances, NFT Ownership Data, DTH/ERC20/NFT Transfer Data, Transaction Details, NFT Metadata, ERC20 Token balances, Free data according to current network conditions, and Block data of present and previously mined blocks.
Alchemy believes this is an opportunity for more nontechnical people to enter into web3.
