  • Google has expanded its search engine to index blockchain data from networks like Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Fantom
  • This allows users to access transaction details and address formats directly in Google search results
  • The addition shows Google’s growing involvement in crypto/blockchain and makes blockchain data more easily accessible

Google has expanded its search engine capabilities to include blockchain data from networks like Bitcoin and Ethereum virtual machines such as Fantom. This allows users to access transaction details directly in Google search.

Supported Blockchains

Screenshots show Google currently supports three address formats – P2PKH, P2SH, and Bech32. However, this feature does not seem universally available yet.

Addition of Fantom

The Fantom Foundation reported that Google is quietly indexing Fantom’s blockchain data. Support was also enabled for Arbitrum, Avalanche, Optimism, and Polygon. This comes as Fantom aims to rejuvenate itself with Sonic technology.
