  • Strive acquired another 1,375 BTC for approximately $109 million last week, increasing its total Bitcoin holdings to 24,531 BTC.
  • The company bought the Bitcoin at an average price of $79,281, with 70% of the capital raised during the week coming from sales of its SATA perpetual preferred stock.
  • Strive remains on pace to challenge Twenty One Capital for the second-largest public Bitcoin treasury position before the end of 2026.

Strive has expanded its Bitcoin treasury again, purchasing another 1,375 BTC as it continues climbing the rankings of publicly traded corporate holders.

The company spent approximately $109 million on the Bitcoin between Aug. 31 and Sept. 4, according to a Form 8-K filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

Strive paid an average price of $79,281 per BTC, bringing its total holdings to 24,531 BTC.

The purchase follows an aggressive period of accumulation as Strive works toward becoming one of the largest corporate Bitcoin holders in the world.

SATA Helps Fund Strive’s Bitcoin Purchases

Strive CEO Matt Cole said approximately 70% of the capital raised during the week came from sales of the company’s SATA perpetual preferred stock.

SATA reached nearly $999 million in outstanding notional volume, approaching the $1 billion level.

“Time to break the billion-dollar wall,” Cole said.

The number of SATA shares outstanding increased by 921,511 during the week to nearly 10 million.

Strive’s cash and equivalents also increased from $183.5 million to $202.6 million, while its position of 505,000 shares in Strategy’s STRC preferred stock remained unchanged.

Strive Targets No. 2 Bitcoin Treasury Spot

The latest acquisition keeps Strive within range of the pace required to overtake Twenty One Capital as the world’s second-largest publicly traded Bitcoin treasury before the end of 2026.

With approximately 16 weeks remaining in the year, Strive would need to purchase around 1,200 BTC per week to surpass Twenty One, assuming Twenty One does not increase its own holdings.

Cole previously said reaching the number two position is possible, although it is not his base case.

He also pointed to more than $700 million in outstanding warrants that could potentially help Strive access as much as $1.4 billion in additional capacity for Bitcoin purchases.

Strive Continues Accumulating as Strategy Pauses

Strive shares briefly climbed above the warrants’ $27 exercise price on Friday, reaching $27.27 before falling approximately 3.5% to $26.20 shortly after Tuesday’s market open.

Bitcoin, meanwhile, recovered to around $74,300 after briefly falling to $73,700, its lowest level in six days. BTC had traded above $82,300 as recently as Thursday.

The accumulation also comes as Strategy, the world’s largest public corporate Bitcoin holder, paused its purchases last week.

Strategy continues to hold 845,050 BTC after choosing instead to repurchase $176 million of STRC preferred stock and double its Digital Credit Securities Repurchase Program from $1 billion to $2 billion.

Strive’s latest purchase keeps the company moving higher in the Bitcoin treasury race as it attempts to close the gap with the largest corporate holders.
