  • Strategy acquired another 250 BTC for approximately $21.5 million between Oct. 5 and Oct. 11 at an average price of $86,194 per bitcoin.
  • The company now holds 848,250 BTC worth approximately $70.6 billion, representing more than 4% of Bitcoin’s maximum 21 million supply.
  • Strategy also repurchased 1.93 million STRC preferred shares for approximately $192.4 million while maintaining a $4.88 billion USD Reserve.

Strategy has added another 250 bitcoin to its corporate treasury, increasing its total holdings to a record 848,250 BTC.

The company purchased the additional bitcoin for approximately $21.5 million between Oct. 5 and Oct. 11, paying an average of $86,194 per BTC, according to its latest announcement.

Strategy has now spent approximately $64 billion accumulating Bitcoin, including fees and expenses, at an average purchase price of $75,444 per BTC.

At current prices, the company’s Bitcoin holdings are worth around $70.6 billion, representing approximately $6.6 billion in unrealized gains.

Strategy Holds More Than 4% of Bitcoin Supply

Strategy’s 848,250 BTC represents more than 4% of Bitcoin’s maximum supply of 21 million coins.

The company remains the largest publicly traded corporate Bitcoin holder by a substantial margin.

Strategy funded its latest acquisition through proceeds from its MSTR at-the-market offering program and existing USD Cash holdings.

During the week, the company sold 125,183 MSTR shares, raising approximately $21 million.

The remaining $500,000 needed for the Bitcoin purchase came from its USD Cash holdings.

As of Oct. 11, Strategy still had approximately $18.8 billion worth of MSTR shares available for issuance and sale under the program.

Strategy Repurchases $192.4 Million of STRC

Strategy also repurchased 1,932,145 STRC preferred shares for approximately $192.4 million during the week.

The transactions were completed under the company’s digital credit securities repurchase program.

As of Oct. 11, Strategy reported a USD Reserve balance of $4.88 billion and USD Cash holdings of approximately $640.5 million.

Executive Chairman Michael Saylor also hinted at the latest acquisition through a post on X.

“There’s always room for more orange,” Saylor wrote alongside Strategy’s Bitcoin acquisition tracker.

TD Cowen Maintains $260 MSTR Price Target

Strategy continues to dominate the corporate Bitcoin treasury market as more publicly traded companies adopt similar accumulation strategies.

According to Bitcoin Treasuries data, 198 public companies now hold Bitcoin as part of their treasury strategies.

Metaplanet holds 44,000 BTC, followed by Twenty One with 43,514 BTC, MARA with 35,577 BTC and Bitcoin Standard Treasury Company with 30,021 BTC.

Meanwhile, TD Cowen recently raised its Bitcoin price forecasts while maintaining a $260 price target on Strategy shares.

The investment firm expects Bitcoin to reach approximately $109,000 by the end of 2026 and $280,000 by 2029.

However, TD Cowen warned that shareholder dilution and Strategy’s financial obligations could limit potential gains for MSTR investors.

Strategy shares fell approximately 7% last week to close at $154.34. The stock remains roughly flat year-to-date and is down 53% over the past year.
