  • Strategy acquired another 950 BTC for approximately $75.7 million at an average price of $79,670 per Bitcoin between Sept. 14 and Sept. 20.
  • The company now holds 846,000 BTC worth roughly $71.9 billion, representing more than 4% of Bitcoin’s maximum 21 million supply.
  • Strategy also repurchased around $174 million of STRC preferred shares while ending Sept. 20 with $5.04 billion in its USD Reserve and $1.05 billion in USD Cash.

Strategy has resumed adding to its Bitcoin treasury, purchasing another 950 BTC for approximately $75.7 million.

The company acquired the Bitcoin between Sept. 14 and Sept. 20 at an average price of $79,670 per BTC, according to an 8-K filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The latest acquisition brings Strategy’s total holdings to 846,000 BTC, currently worth approximately $71.9 billion.

Strategy has spent around $63.8 billion building the position at an average purchase price of $75,416 per Bitcoin, including fees and expenses.

Strategy Now Holds More Than 4% of Bitcoin Supply

Strategy’s 846,000 BTC represents more than 4% of Bitcoin’s maximum supply of 21 million coins.

At current prices, the company’s position implies approximately $8.1 billion in unrealized gains.

Executive Chairman Michael Saylor hinted at another acquisition on Sunday when he posted Strategy’s Bitcoin tracker on X with the caption, “A little more orange.”

Similar posts from Saylor have frequently preceded acquisition announcements.

Strategy remains the largest public corporate Bitcoin holder by a significant margin.

Twenty One holds 43,514 BTC, followed by Metaplanet with 43,000 BTC, MARA with 35,577 BTC and Bitcoin Standard Treasury Company with 30,021 BTC.

Strategy Repurchases $174 Million of STRC

Bitcoin was not Strategy’s only acquisition during the week.

The company also repurchased 1.77 million STRC preferred shares for approximately $174 million.

Both acquisitions were funded using Strategy’s USD Cash reserve.

Strategy separately used $57.4 million from its USD Reserve to pay preferred stock dividends and interest on outstanding debt during the same period.

As of Sept. 20, the company reported $5.04 billion in its USD Reserve and another $1.05 billion in USD Cash.

Strategy Stock Rallies 16% in One Week

Corporate adoption of Bitcoin treasury strategies continues to expand, with Bitcoin Treasuries data showing 196 public companies now following some form of Bitcoin acquisition model.

Strategy remains far ahead of other public companies in total holdings.

Meanwhile, MSTR shares gained 16.4% last week and closed Friday at $153.92.

The stock is now roughly flat year to date following a substantial recovery, although it remains down 54.2% over the past year.

Bitcoin gained 5.3% during the same week as Strategy added another 950 BTC to its treasury.
