The newest version of the Brave browser has a beta version for the Solana and Ramp wallet features.
Brave Software has unveiled plans to develop a browser for Solana. In November, it was announced that Brave would integrate the Solana blockchain and its SOL and SPL coins into its 1.39 desktop version, which is comparable to ERC-20 tokens on Ethereum.
Web3 within the Latest Browser
Solana co-founder Anatoly Yakovenko stated, “Brave’s inclusion of Solana in the wallet is an important step to onboarding a billion users to Web3,”
The Brave Wallet can now be utilized to buy, sell, and store SOL and SPL tokens via the non-custodial payment platform Ramp in the most recent version of Brave.
Users may now purchase Bitcoin undistributed from their Brave Wallet instead of via an exchange like Coinbase or Binance, and then move it to their wallet using Ramp.
BAT now provides more Utilities
Furthermore, Brave is encouraging the use of its cryptocurrency rewards token, Basic Attention Token (BAT), by allowing advertising to run while you surf. Users of the Brave browser may earn BAT by letting advertisements display on their screens. According to reports from Brave, BAT has over 55 million monthly active users.
The token works with Ethereum and the EVM. Although, it may be used as an SPL token on Solana if it travels over the Wormhole bridge on Solana.
BAT holders will be able to purchase and sell NFTs on the Solana NFT marketplace Magic Eden in the future.
