Hello and happy Friday to our JRNY CLUB community and friends alike! It’s hard to believe it’s already been a month since our first one of these. Each month on the third Friday, I’ll bring you the latest from our creative endeavors and community highlights. Let’s go!
Launch of JRNYERS
This past month has been a fun and at times unpredictable roller coaster ride. We celebrated the release of JRNYERS, by far our biggest collection to date. On the creative side, I want to take a moment to truly applaud the SneakyBros and our artist advisors for the almost universally praised artwork. Their commitment to making this collection a distinct and living set, enhanced by the community input we received, resulted in a lineup where the vast majority of JRNYERS possess compelling personalities, regardless of rarity or coveted traits.
With the launch of JRNYERS, we also introduced the dashboard and Stardust 2.0. Although this transition has had its own hiccups, I know the team has been working diligently behind the scenes to achieve full functionality. Not only do we now have auto-generating Stardust, but the leveling, questing, and multiplier systems have also begun to roll out over the past week or two. This is just the beginning of what the dashboard will become, and I am very excited to see what the team puts together.
On my end, we are actively developing more sophisticated art and utility displays for the dashboard, and they are progressing beautifully. Our future staking and rewards opportunities will be situated in visually engaging and appealing environments. The dashboard will become a space you’ll want to visit regularly and will significantly enhance the JRNYERS lore and universe.
Additionally, we are constructing a more comprehensive information page for the dashboard that will encompass most of its core features and essential concepts. As information has gradually been shared through our updates, this new page aims to organize it in an accessible and coherent manner. We expect this to go live soon, in conjunction with the upcoming batch of dashboard features.
JRNY Gallery
While JRNYERS undoubtedly stole the spotlight this month, the JRNY Gallery has been quietly gaining momentum. We’ve hosted two successful JRNY Meets—our monthly gathering for creatives, web3 enthusiasts, and Las Vegas locals. Attendance has grown significantly from the first to the second meeting, with many in the community promising to return next month and bring friends. These casual meetups have been incredibly enjoyable, and I anticipate continued growth in attendance and the collaborations they foster. Here are some photos from your very own ChipsWithTh3Dip:
Additionally, there’s been a significant increase in interest for hosting events at the gallery, ranging from business mixers and art shows to Web3 takeovers. Events will be a major part of our plans for the second half of 2024, and it’s exciting to see such early interest. Next month’s update is likely to mention several events scheduled for 2024. Moreover, due to community interest, we’re considering expanding our gallery staff to maximize this opportunity. If trends continue positively, we aim to hire a full-time events coordinator in the upcoming months.
Lastly, and perhaps most significantly, our AIP is now live for voting! This proposal aims to substantially enhance our capabilities and reach at the gallery, introducing a new series of partnerships and collaborations. As avid supporters of ApeCoin, we believe this aligns perfectly with our goals and can generate significant benefits for all involved. Voting is open through May 1st. We are hopeful that the broader ApeCoin community will recognize the value of our proposal. If it passes, it will ensure a promising year for Web3 in Vegas! Social Media
We continue to strengthen our social media foundation, having welcomed several new members to our social media team this month to support our growth! While it takes time for social media teams to fully develop, our group of creative collaborators is already making significant enhancements to our campaigns. We are poised to extend our reach further than ever before, amplifying our presence within the web3 community. As our team solidifies its foundation, expect to see JRNY Club appearing in more places with new, unique content. You can also expect to see more JRNYCrypto!
In related news, our Planet XOLO Gifs are experiencing robust growth. We are nearing our next milestone of 1,000,000 views per day, as illustrated in the chart below. At our current pace, we anticipate reaching this goal within the next month! I’d also like to give a special shout-out to Gui, one of our talented animators/illustrators, who created our first truly viral gif this April Fools’ Day. The laughing Felix April Fools gif and sticker combo has amassed over ten million views! We’re also gearing up to launch our JRNYERS page in the upcoming weeks, with plans to introduce more community-centric content later in Q2.
Moreover, Aiura has made her debut on X! If you haven’t completed this week’s dashboard quest yet, be sure to check it out. Aiura is now active and prepared to be your guide through all things JRNYERS and more broadly, the JRNY Club. She will play a significant role in our community outreach and engagement efforts as she helps build brand awareness and fosters collaborations across the web3 spectrum. The JRNYERS are poised to make a significant mark across the internet spaces!
Planet XOLO
Planet XOLO continues to develop and thrive as we further define its future. We’re targeting the latter half of Q2 to kick off most of our rollouts for Planet XOLO, with ample opportunities for expansion throughout the year. A crucial point to address is our need to transition to a new blockchain to fully leverage our plans for XOLO, ensuring both immediate boosts and long-term sustainability for our broader strategies and roadmap. We are exploring several promising opportunities in this regard and are committed to selecting a chain that aligns with our goals. We’ll revisit this conversation next month, by which time we expect to have a more solid understanding of our options. However, I can assure you that all our creative products are shaping up beautifully, and the eventual rollout of Planet XOLO is set to pleasantly surprise everyone involved.
