Web3 Education meets Web2: Open Campus and GEMS
Open Campus, an innovative Web3 education protocol, announced its partnership with GEMs, an international private education provider. The collaboration between the two iconic education platforms is set to enhance the creation of an innovative curriculum. The partnership leverages GEMS’s global audience of 140k students from 175 countries alongside the Open Campus disruptive learning landscape.
In a Twitter post, Open Campus expressed enthusiasm for creating engaging content with its newest partner, GEMS. While the learning on both platforms is diverse, a news outlet, Blockchain Reporter, shares its optimism.
“Such an endeavor would potentially cope with the diverse learning requirements of worldwide students. Moreover, the respective move would also be beneficial for the overall development of the industry. As a result of this, they will have adequate preparation for the present as well as the future world.” the report stated.
The collaboration between the two propellers of education is set to result in the creation of Publisher NFT alongside an innovative curriculum.
Open Campus minted its 12 Genesis Publisher NFTs on TinyTap in 2022. The collection generated $135,000 after its sale at an auction, which was shared with the creators.
With the new collaboration between GEMS Education and Open Campus, there may be more Publisher NFTS.
Open Campus is leading Web3 Education Globally
Open Campus is a Web3 education protocol that allows educational communities to create and share tokenized content. Its main drive is starting and sharing tokenized content globally through blockchain technology and partnerships with educative platforms.
Open Campus embodies four entities, they include, Creators, Co-publishers, $EDU token holders, and Learners.
The Creators are mostly the educators who create relevant content and mint their content to become tokenized. The tokenized content is an NFT called Publishers NFT. According to Coinmarketcap, the Publisher NFTs represent the ownership and promotional rights of the content.
Co-Publishers can purchase the Publisher NFTs. They can also help promote the tokenized content while getting a certain percentage of revenue.
The decentralized educational protocol allows learners to access the tokenized content by paying $EDU, Open Campus’ native token.
Finally, $EDU token holders represent one of the core participants of the platform. They govern Open Campus’ decentralized autonomous organization.
Open Campus explores decentralization on its platform by using a peer-review system to ensure the quality of the content.
Through its partnerships, Open Campus continues establishing an ecosystem where educators can gain recognition and earn revenue from their content. The blockchain-based educational platform utilizes third-party platforms like Tiny Tap, Mocaverse, and GEMS to create educational content in diverse forms.
TinyTap is a platform for user-generated educational content like games and courses for children. It is one of Open Campus’ first partners, and the Genesis Publisher NFTs were launched on it. Creators can use Tiny Tap to create educational courses and games.
With Mocaverse, a metaverse-centric platform, Creators can design learning experiences using the metaverse.
GEMS, the latest collaborative partner of Open Campus, can be used to create a disruptive curriculum.
