- World Mobile launches cross-chain bridges for Ethereum and BNB Chain networks.
- The bridges aim to enhance scalability, speed, and liquidity for WMT tokens and foster a more inclusive mobile ecosystem.
- World Mobile now has three cross-chain bridges, including connections to Cardano and Conflux blockchains.
The newly launched cross-chain bridges, according to an Aug. 3 statement, align with World Mobile’s multichain strategy of exposing the crypto community to its growing ecosystem, as the bridges would allow users to seamlessly move their WMT tokens between Cardano (ADA) and the other blockchain networks.
Scalability and Speed
World Mobile emphasized the importance of both networks’ scalability and speed, which were critical factors in their inclusion.
World Mobile hopes to realize its vision of connecting global communities and fostering a more inclusive mobile ecosystem by incorporating these networks into its operations.
Zachary Vann, World Mobile Token’s Head of Development, emphasized the two blockchain networks’ dominance and influence in the crypto space.
Vann noted, “This is a significant step forward for our multichain strategy, as it will enable our token to access the rich and diverse ecosystems on both chains.”
Furthermore, the Ethereum and BNB Chain cross-chain bridges will allow users of the two networks to join the developing WMT ecosystem. BNB Chain and Ethereum are two of the most popular smart contract networks, with over 200 million unique addresses in each network.
WMT is Looking for Liquidity
In addition to its primary goal, the initiative intends to increase WMT liquidity. Ethereum and BNB Chain currently have higher levels of liquidity than its native Cardano network.
Notably, the World Mobile sidechain AyA will be seamlessly integrated with these two prominent networks, enhancing its potential and accessibility even further.
WMT now has three cross-chain bridges connecting it to other networks, thanks to the creation of the new bridges. World Mobile is linked to the Conflux (CFX) blockchain via the third bridge.
