  • VechainThor launches the Vechain Improvement Proposal (VIP) campaign to drive ecosystem growth with an initial fund of $100k, rewarding approved VIPs with $2k each.
  • VIPs are developer-initiated enhancements covering core protocol architecture, interface design, digital assets, smart contracts, and DApp improvements.

VechainThor’s Technology Centre is rolling out the Vechain Improvement Proposal (VIP) campaign. With an initial fund of $100k, the campaign aims to incentivize community developers to contribute transformative ideas through VIPs, with each approved proposal receiving a $2k reward.

🧵Since we began our 100 blockchain developer hiring spree last year, we've witnessed rapid growth across #vechain's tooling/developer ecosystem.

We're launching a $100k community VIP bounty campaign to help us take that growth even further!

VIPs Explained

VIPs represent improvements initiated by developers that address diverse aspects of the VechainThor ecosystem, ranging from core protocol enhancements to interface improvements, digital asset standards, smart contract development, and enhancements for decentralized applications (DApps). VIP authors are responsible for proposing ideas, nurturing consensus among fellow developers, and incorporating feedback into their proposals.

VIPs are classified into four primary categories: Core Protocol, Interface, Application, and Information. Submitting VIPs entails creating a proposal utilizing a predefined template, generating a Pull Request (PR), initiating discussions within the community, refining proposals based on community input, and securing the necessary approvals from reviewers.

Conclusion

The VIP campaign underscores VechainThor’s collaborative spirit, encouraging community members and developers to collectively shape the protocol’s future. As the platform taps into the expertise of its expansive community, it forges ahead with the mission of advancing sustainability and digital transformation globally.
