Securitize Wins SEC RIA Approval – Here Is Why It Strengthens Institutional Tokenization

  • Securitize Capital has become an SEC-registered investment adviser (RIA), expanding the company’s regulated services for institutional investors.
  • The new registration enables Securitize to work more closely with asset managers on tokenized investment strategies.
  • The approval further strengthens Securitize’s position as one of the leading regulated platforms for real-world asset (RWA) tokenization.

Securitize has reached another regulatory milestone after its subsidiary, Securitize Capital LLC, officially became a registered investment adviser (RIA) with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.

The new registration expands the company’s ability to serve institutional investors and asset managers developing tokenized investment products, adding another regulated component to Securitize’s growing digital asset platform.

The approval comes just weeks after Securitize became a publicly traded company through its SPAC merger with Cantor Equity Partners II.

SEC Approval Expands Institutional Services

According to Securitize, the RIA registration allows the company to provide more comprehensive support for institutions building investment strategies around tokenized assets.

CEO Carlos Domingo said institutional clients increasingly want partners that understand both blockchain technology and the regulatory requirements associated with operating in traditional financial markets.

The additional registration enables Securitize to deepen relationships with asset managers seeking compliant pathways into tokenized securities and other onchain investment products.

Building a Fully Regulated Platform

With the latest approval, Securitize’s U.S. business now combines four regulated capabilities under one platform.

These include an SEC-registered investment adviser, an SEC-registered broker-dealer operating an Alternative Trading System (ATS), an SEC-registered transfer agent, and fund administration services.

The company believes this integrated regulatory framework positions it to support institutions throughout the full lifecycle of tokenized investment products.

Competition in Digital Asset Advisory Grows

Securitize joins a growing list of firms expanding regulated advisory services within the digital asset industry.

Coinbase and Kraken have both introduced SEC-registered investment advisory platforms that incorporate artificial intelligence, while Galaxy Digital has long operated its institutional asset management division.

Meanwhile, Anchorage Digital expanded its presence in the RIA market through its acquisition of Securitize For Advisors in late 2025.

Tokenization Continues Moving Into Traditional Finance

The latest regulatory approval reflects the broader institutional shift toward tokenized financial products.

As asset managers increasingly explore blockchain-based investment vehicles, firms with established regulatory infrastructure may be better positioned to bridge traditional finance and digital assets.

With its expanded regulatory framework now in place, Securitize continues positioning itself as one of the leading providers of institutional tokenization infrastructure as demand for real-world assets and onchain investment products continues to grow.
