- Blockchain investigator ZachXBT linked a $20M HyperLiquid trader to convicted fraudster William Parker.
- Parker allegedly used high-leverage trades on ETH and BTC before Trump’s crypto reserve announcement.
- Investigators found Parker’s wallet tied to phishing scams and exploited casino funds, raising further suspicion.
Blockchain sleuth ZachXBT has alleged that a trader who recently raked in $20 million on HyperLiquid through high-stakes leveraged trading is none other than William Parker—a convicted fraudster with a shady past tied to hacking and gambling-related crimes.
On-Chain Clues Point to Parker
In a detailed breakdown on X, ZachXBT traced the whale’s transactions back to Parker through on-chain analysis. The trader in question executed a series of highly leveraged positions on HyperLiquid and GMX between January and March 2025, including a massive 50x long on ETH and BTC right before Trump’s crypto reserve announcement. He later followed up with a 40x short on BTC, walking away with nearly $20 million in profits.

Suspicious Wallet Activity
Investigators flagged several key counterparties linked to major platforms, including Binance, Roobet, and Alphapo. More concerningly, a wallet associated with this trader was found to have received funds from a phishing scam and an exploited casino game—both of which bore Parker’s fingerprints.
Further analysis unearthed Parker’s involvement in past financial crimes. He was arrested in Finland in 2023 for stealing $1 million from casinos, adding to a long history of fraudulent schemes.
A Fraudster’s Ongoing Trail
Parker, who previously operated under the alias Alistair Packover, has been entangled in fraud cases dating back to the early 2010s in the UK. Despite serving time, ZachXBT’s findings suggest he has continued illicit activities, with much of his crypto fortune now sitting in a meticulously tracked wallet.
As investigations unfold, the crypto community remains on high alert, watching to see whether Parker’s digital footprint leads to further revelations—or yet another escape into the shadows.
