- Google Cloud will join the Zilliqa network as a Staked Seed Node operator.
- This partnership aims to enhance data availability on Zilliqa.
Google Cloud and Zilliqa have partnered to enhance data availability on Zilliqa. Google Cloud will join Zilliqa as a node operator on its network and provide cloud computing services. Google Cloud will operate one of Zilliqa’s proprietary Staked Seed Nodes (SSN).
SSNs do not participate in consensus; they respond to user requests through open-source APIs and store whole states of all transaction records in the Zilliqa blockchain. Operators of SSNs must stake a minimum of 10 million ZIL tokens and, for their efforts, earn a share of block rewards. Verifiers routinely check that SSN operators have staked the required amount of ZIL.
“Our strategic alliance with Google Cloud is more than just a technological collaboration; it’s a strategic alignment to further the ambitions of our group of ventures and revenue-generating organizations. Google Cloud’s infrastructure expertise, combined with their role as a staked seed node partner, underscores our commitment to excellence, both within the Zilliqa Group of companies and across the wider ecosystem. Together, we’re setting the stage for a new wave of innovation and growth in the Web3 space.” – Matt Dryer, Zilliqa Group CEO.
Additionally, Zilliqa will adopt Google Cloud’s Security Command Center and BigQuery to improve node architecture and ensure smooth and fluid data availability across the entire Zilliqa network.
