- Circle launches USDC and Cross-Chain Transfer Protocol natively on the Aptos blockchain for streamlined multi-chain transactions.
- Stripe enables fiat-to-USDC conversion for Aptos users, integrating payment services for seamless merchant operations.
- Aptos gains access to 72 cross-chain transaction pathways, expanding its role in blockchain-based global payments.
Circle and Stripe are extending their blockchain capabilities by integrating services with the Aptos network. Circle’s USDC stablecoin and Cross-Chain Transfer Protocol (CCTP) will now operate natively on the Aptos blockchain, simplifying cross-chain operations for users.
Expanding Cross-Chain Access
The addition of native USDC allows users to conduct transactions across eight major blockchains, including Solana, Ethereum, and Base. This integration introduces over 72 cross-chain pathways, making it easier to move funds between networks. Circle’s native USDC on Aptos will replace the bridged version, which currently holds more than $140 million in circulation.
To facilitate the transition, bridge providers like Stargate, utilizing LayerZero technology, will support users in migrating from the bridged USDC to its native counterpart.

Stripe’s Payment Services on Aptos
Stripe is enhancing Aptos’s capabilities by offering a fiat-to-USDC on-ramp for Aptos-compatible wallets. This feature enables users to convert traditional currencies directly into stablecoins, bridging the gap between conventional financial systems and blockchain.
John Egan, Stripe’s crypto division head, highlighted that this collaboration aims to improve global fund transfers using stablecoins, providing merchants and consumers with faster, more efficient financial solutions.
This development follows Stripe’s $1.1 billion acquisition of stablecoin payment firm Bridge, signaling a commitment to advancing blockchain-based global payment systems.
