Leading crypto exchange OKX on Tuesday announced its partnership with Solana Mobile. OKX’s app will be one of the first exchange applications available on Solana’s Web3 smartphone, Saga, as a result of the agreement.
Unlocking Access to the Web3 Space to Everyday Users
The collaboration seeks to give Saga users easy access to OKX’s next-generation products, thereby broadening the reach of decentralized applications and services.
OKX’s Chief Innovation Officer, Jason Lau, stressed the collaboration’s revolutionary potential. “This alliance dramatically broadens everyday access to the open, decentralized future enabled by Web3,” said Lau.
Solana Mobile, a Solana Labs company, released its crypto-ready, Android-based Saga smartphone in April 2023. The device allows users to self-custody their crypto assets and includes a Seed Vault for increased security of their private keys. The phone’s architecture is intended to make it simple to access Web3 native decentralized applications (dApps).
OKX’s Bursting Suite of Web3 Products
OKX, a crypto industry pioneer, provides a diverse range of Web3 products aimed at both novices and experts in the crypto space.
The OKX Wallet, a secure and adaptable crypto wallet that supports over 50 blockchains, is one of its offerings, and a decentralized exchange (DEX) that aggregates almost 200 other DEXs. In addition, the exchange has a multi-chain, zero-fee NFT marketplace and a sophisticated DeFi platform that supports earning and staking across various protocols.
OKX’s partnership with Solana Mobile is part of a larger strategy to transform the future of decentralized apps and services. The crypto exchange has previously teamed with big businesses and athletes like Manchester City F.C., McLaren Formula 1, and Olympian Scotty James to promote its vision for a Web3-driven future.
The inclusion of OKX’s app on the Saga smartphone’s dApp store is a big step forward in the use of Web3 technology. It not only improves the functionality of the Saga device, but it also serves as a powerful entry point for consumers to interact with the decentralized ecosystem.
