  • Trump Media reported a $238.1 million second-quarter net loss as weakness in its digital asset portfolio weighed heavily on results.
  • The company held 9,477.16 Bitcoin and 756.1 million Cronos tokens as of June 30, with combined crypto holdings valued at $597.7 million.
  • Trump Media says recent Bitcoin transfers to Crypto.com were not sales, while its Truth Social advertising revenue continued to grow.

Trump Media & Technology Group reported a significant second-quarter loss as declining cryptocurrency valuations weighed heavily on the company’s financial performance. The Truth Social parent recorded a net loss of $238.1 million for the quarter, while its digital asset strategy generated hundreds of millions of dollars in unrealized losses during the first half of the year.

According to an SEC filing, Trump Media recorded $245.4 million in unrealized losses on digital assets during the six months ending June 30. It also reported a $55.5 million loss tied to the reacquisition of pledged digital assets, a $52.2 million derecognition loss and another $7.4 million unrealized loss involving pledged assets.

Trump Media’s Crypto Portfolio Falls to $597.7 Million

Trump Media’s combined digital asset holdings had a fair value of approximately $597.7 million at the end of June, a substantial decline from $904.4 million at the end of 2025.

Bitcoin remains the dominant part of the company’s crypto treasury. Trump Media held 9,477.16 BTC valued at roughly $557.1 million, down slightly from 9,542.16 BTC at the end of 2025. The fair value of those Bitcoin holdings had previously stood at approximately $836.4 million.

The company also maintained its position of 756.1 million Cronos tokens. While the number of CRO tokens remained unchanged, their reported value dropped from approximately $68 million at the end of 2025 to $40.6 million by June 30.

Bitcoin Transfers Draw Market Attention

The filing arrived shortly after Bitcoin associated with Trump Media was transferred to Crypto.com. Two transactions moved a combined 2,628 BTC, worth approximately $165 million at the time, attracting attention from traders monitoring corporate crypto treasuries.

However, a Trump Media spokesperson said the Bitcoin was transferred rather than sold. The company made a similar transfer earlier in May, meaning the movements alone should not necessarily be interpreted as liquidation activity.

Trump Media currently ranks as the 12th-largest publicly traded corporate Bitcoin treasury. As of June 30, approximately 4,260.73 BTC was being used as collateral for convertible notes, while another 2,077.34 BTC had been pledged as part of the company’s Bitcoin options strategy.

Truth Social Revenue Continues to Grow

Despite substantial crypto-related losses, Trump Media recorded stronger revenue during the second quarter. Revenue reached approximately $1.7 million, representing an 89% increase compared with the same period a year earlier.

Most of that revenue came from advertising services connected to Truth Social. While the percentage increase was considerable, the company’s operating revenue remains relatively small compared with the size and volatility of its digital asset portfolio.

That imbalance means movements in Bitcoin and other crypto assets can have an outsized effect on Trump Media’s reported financial results, particularly during periods of sharp market volatility.

Crypto.com Partnership Comes to an End

Trump Media also recently ended its partnership with Crypto.com, with both companies pointing to prevailing market conditions and changing business and stakeholder priorities.

The agreements had previously included plans for a CRO-focused treasury company and Truth.Fi-branded exchange-traded funds. Trump Media withdrew its ETF plans in May, marking another shift in the company’s broader digital asset strategy.

Trump Media shares closed Monday at $9.39, falling roughly 8% during the session. With billions of dollars in strategic ambitions tied to crypto but significant volatility in its existing holdings, investors will likely continue watching both Bitcoin prices and Trump Media’s treasury decisions closely.
