Optimism announced the launch of “Optimism Quest,” aimed at making its solutions more accessible by building “better on-ramps” and making its use cases easily understandable. Optimist Quests provide users an opportunity to mint special NFTs on Galxe by simply completing tasks related to Optimism projects.
Learn-to-Earn On Optimism
The launch of Optimism Quests was announced on September 20 by the Layer 2 scaling project. A Twitter thread followed this by Optimism revealing that the new campaign program will collaborate with Galxe, a Web3.0 digital credential data network. The program’s goal is to allow users who complete specific tasks of participating in Optimism-based projects eligible to mint Optimism’s special NFTs on Galxe.

Optimism is an Ethereum-based decentralized platform providing fast and scalable, intelligent contracts. It has been acclaimed to be simple, pragmatic, and dependable while providing a sustainable ecosystem financing model using user revenue.
Optimism’s partnership with Galxe is a “perpetual learn-to-earn model” focused on educating communities so that they thrive in the new Web3.0 environment. With Optimism Quests, new Optimism users can explore the ecosystem risk-free and try out the dApps built on the platform while earning NFTs.
The process begins by entering the Optimism Quest Hub where a user receives short educational content on participating in the network’s projects. A quick quiz follows this to ensure the user understands what the ecosystem does and prepares them for on-chain tasks. Note that one is required to pass the examination to proceed to other tasks.
After users perform all the specified tasks, they become eligible to mint “special Optimism Quest NFT” on their Galxe campaign page. Holding the NFT yields immediate or future utility from the project. In addition, if users collect a certain number of NFTs from completing Optimism Quests, they become eligible to “receive unique characteristics for the upcoming Optimism NFT PFP mint.”
“Right now, these NFTs are just spiffy works of art that demonstrate your participation in the Optimism ecosystem—but who knows, maybe there will be an interesting use case for them in the future,” said Optimism in a Tweet.
Currently, 18 projects are participating in the Optimism Quests campaign, including Velodrome, Uniswap, Hop Protocol, Synthetix, and Stargate Finance. A large number of participating projects increases the ability of the users to amass a multitude of NFTs as they explore the Optimism platform. There are plans to add more apps to the ecosystem.
What Next For Optimism?
According to the Optimism project, “Optimism Quests could help drive app discovery for people who are curious about Optimism, but who’d like more guidance on how apps work before trying them.” By serving this need, the project hopes to be more accessible.

The leading NFC marketplace announced on September 27 that it would support projects built on Optimism. The peace twitter post read, “We’re excited to share that @optimismFND is officially live on OpenSea!”
Optimism becomes the sixth network to be supported by OpenSea, joining Ethereum, Solana, Polygon, Klatyn, and Arbitrum – another Ethereum scaling platform added just last week.
