  • Amouranth was held at gunpoint by three armed men demanding access to her cryptocurrency but managed to escape unharmed.
  • Her husband fired a shot at the intruders, possibly hitting one, before they fled the scene on foot.
  • Security footage captured the suspects running away, with one heard saying, “I just got shot,” while clutching his arm.

Kaitlyn Siragusa, better known online as Amouranth, narrowly escaped a harrowing ordeal on Sunday when three armed men broke into her Texas home, attempting to rob her of her cryptocurrency holdings.

“They handed me my phone and said ‘log in’—with a gun to my head,” she wrote in a chilling post on X (formerly Twitter), recalling the traumatic experience. Siragusa also noted she was “covered in blood.”

Just hours before, she had warned her 3.8 million followers that she was actively being “robbed at gunpoint,” stressing that it was “not a prank.” Despite the terrifying situation, she later confirmed she was safe.

Crypto Crimes on the Rise

This incident highlights a growing trend—criminals turning to real-world violence to steal digital assets. Similar cases of deadly crypto-related robberies have been reported in both the U.S. and the U.K. over the past year, leading to multiple arrests.

Around 11 p.m. local time, the Houston Police Department responded to a 911 call from Siragusa, directing officers to her suburban home. According to authorities, the suspects broke in by shooting through a patio window before kicking down the bedroom door where she had been sleeping.

The intruders demanded access to her cryptocurrency accounts but ultimately failed to retrieve any funds. In the chaos, Siragusa was pistol-whipped before being forced to lead them to another part of the house where her husband was.

A Dramatic Turn of Events

As the suspects confronted her husband, he managed to grab his own firearm and fired a shot at them. Based on Siragusa’s complaint, she believes one of the men was hit before they all fled the scene on foot. She was later taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Security footage later posted by Siragusa on X shows her leading the armed men through her home. Moments later, three gunshots ring out, and the intruders are seen bolting toward the street.

“I just got shot,” one of them can be heard saying, clutching his arm as he ran.

A High-Profile Target

Siragusa has made headlines in the past for her financial success, revealing in January that she had earned $57 million through OnlyFans over the last four years. The platform, known for its paid content subscriptions, often featuring adult material, ranked her among the top 0.01% of all creators at the time.

With her wealth and public status, Siragusa may have been targeted due to her known financial success—another stark reminder that digital riches can attract real-world dangers.
