FBI Launches a Crypto Token to Catch Market Manipulators
In a move to expose fraudsters who manipulate market prices and deceive investors, the FBI launched an undercover operation involving the creation of a fake cryptocurrency known as the NexFundAI Token. As a result of this operation, they filed criminal charges against four cryptocurrency companies and 14 individuals. These charges include conspiracy to commit commodities and securities fraud, as well as wire fraud.

To promote the NexFundAI Token, the FBI utilized private Telegram channels, where they offered services to artificially boost trading volume. This strategy proved effective, as they managed to inflate the token’s trading volume to an impressive $1 million on the BitMart exchange. By creating an environment that mimicked real market activity, the FBI tricked fraudsters into participating in their scam, allowing them to gather critical evidence against the individuals and companies involved.
