The much-anticipated Rugby League World Cup (RLWC) 2021 is about to kick off. CoinEx, a partner to RLWC, held an on-site meet-up where they invited Rugby fans and crypto fans to celebrate the RLWC 2021 together.

The partners held a small-sized indoor sports game where winners got free tickets to the RLWC 2021. The rest of the participants received co-branded products from RLWC 2021 and CoinEx.

“It’s the sportsmanship of keeping fighting and excelling oneself that stimulates me to watch almost every RLWC competition,” said one participant, who is also a loyal user of CoinEx.

“It’s great to see that CoinEx and RLWC are working together. CoinEx keeps pursuing simple and easy products for every user, and that’s exactly why I choose it,” he added.

CoinEx and Sports

Cryptocurrencies are becoming more prevalent in the sports industry.CoinEx says it strongly sensed the enthusiasm of sports fans and crypto users during the 5-hour meet-up it organized. The sponsors added that it would live up to its users’ expectations and continue providing better products and services to crypto users.

The goal is to have everyone trade crypto assets easily while they enjoy a thrilling rugby game.

RLWC 2021

The tournament is set to take place from October 15 to November 19, 2022. This will be in 21 stadiums and 17 cities across the UK, including London, Manchester, Newcastle, York, Sheffield, Coventry, and Leeds.

A total of 32 teams will compete in 61 matches. For the first time, the men’s, women’s, and wheelchair competitions will take place together. With an audience of more than 150 million around the globe, the event will be live-streamed on the BBC and televised worldwide. After being postponed from 2021 to 2022 due to the Covid-19 pandemic, this year’s RLWC will be the 16th edition.

CoinEx will cheer all teams on as the RLWC’s exclusive cryptocurrency trading platform partner.  The partnership was announced in June 2022, making it the first time the Word Cup would partner with a cryptocurrency partner like other sports.

RLWC 2021 CEO Jon Dutton during the time of the announcement, said,

“Crypto companies have recently established themselves in the sports sponsorship market, and I am pleased that we have been able to introduce this innovative sector to the Rugby League World Cup.”
