Ledger has announced the integration of PayPal with the Ledger Live platform, offering a seamless and secure crypto on-ramp. This collaboration establishes PayPal as a new payment provider in the ‘Buy’ section of Ledger Live, and the integration caters to both experienced crypto users and newcomers, providing a user-friendly avenue for purchasing crypto assets.

Our mission has always been to build ease-of-use and security for critical digital assets.

That's why we're integrating @PayPal into Ledger Live.

You can now buy crypto with PayPal and get it into your custody.

For users in the U.S., the PayPal integration with Ledger Live simplifies the process of acquiring BTC, ETH, BCH, and LTC. By linking their PayPal accounts, Ledger users can directly purchase these cryptocurrencies through Ledger Live.

Moreover, users who have previously bought crypto using PayPal can purchase through Ledger Live without additional verification steps. Similar to other options in Ledger Live, purchases made through PayPal are automatically directed to the user’s Ledger hardware wallet, ensuring a secure storage environment for their digital assets.

How to Purchase Crypto through the PayPal integration on Ledger Live

  • Launch the Ledger Live application and proceed to the ‘Buy’ section.
  • Choose the cryptocurrency you wish to purchase and input the desired amount.
  • Indicate your country (currently only available for users within the U.S.).
  • Select PayPal as your preferred payment method. After selecting, you will be smoothly redirected to the PayPal interface.
  • Here, you can log into your account and verify the transaction.
  • Upon confirmation, your newly acquired digital assets will be swiftly transferred to the secure environment of your Ledger device.

Conclusion

Users without a pre-existing PayPal account or those who haven’t previously bought crypto using PayPal must create a PayPal account or undergo KYC (Know Your Customer) verification. This integration stands as a significant stride toward enhancing user experience within the crypto space, combining the trusted capabilities of PayPal with the secure environment of Ledger Live.
