On Friday, The Los Angeles Times reported that NFT-themed burger place Bored & Hungry will no longer be accepting crypto payments.
The restaurant that first launched in April of this year has an employee state that customers didn’t seem to care about the crypto payment option, going on to say that most customers were indifferent to the burger chain’s premise, cryptocurrency,
Some patrons think that the move comes at an appropriate time, noting that people would rather not spend their Ethereum during these turbulent market conditions.
Other patrons have said that they are completely indifferent to the crypto space and instead support the establishment for quality food. Patron, Jessica Perez, said, “We rate this up there with In-N-Out, maybe even better.”
The restaurant’s payment change comes amidst an overarching economic meltdown across the world.
Hungry crypto patrons need not worry, and should instead stroll down the street to Chipotle. The chain is still accepting crypto as a form of payment, as reported in June.
