Crypto.com, a popular digital asset trading platform, has partnered with technology powerhouse Samsung to provide an optimized version of its app for Samsung Galaxy Z Fold devices, including the recently released Z Fold4.
On Thursday, Crypto.com announced the new update, Version 3.158.1, which includes an improved trading and analysis experience for Galaxy Z Fold devices.
Customized Trading Experience for the Galaxy Z Fold
Thanks to the new features, users will be able to compare a variety of tokens simultaneously and more efficiently than on any other mobile device. With this latest development, Crypto.com becomes the first digital asset platform to provide a customized experience for Galaxy Z Fold devices.
The collaboration arose from both companies’ shared desire to provide their customers with a more engaging mobile experience. The update and Galaxy Z Fold devices will give users a more powerful Crypto.com App experience, with more tools and resources available on a single screen.
Crypto.com’s President and Chief Operating Officer, Eric Anziani, expressed his enthusiasm for the alliance, saying:
“This collaboration with Samsung will allow users to experience our app like never before. Together, Samsung and Crypto.com have optimized the Crypto.com App for the large screen experience, taking advantage of the foldable form factor to bring a more productive way of using the app for trading and analyzing cryptocurrencies.”
Samsung’s Crypto Endeavours
Samsung has become an active participant in the cryptocurrency and blockchain markets. For several years, the multinational conglomerate has been looking into opportunities in the nascent industry.
The tech titan first entered the crypto space in 2019 with the release of its Galaxy S10 device, which included a crypto private key vault. As a result, Samsung became the first smartphone to use its security feature for a cryptocurrency wallet.
The device was created with a defense-based Samsung Knox and secure storage supported by hardware. The latter is intended to house private keys for blockchain-enabled mobile services.
In 2021, the company released the Galaxy A series, a blockchain-based smartphone with a built-in hardware wallet for secure cryptocurrency storage.
Samsung collaborated with popular NFT marketplace Nifty Gateway last year to launch the world’s first Smart TV compatible with non-fungible tokens.
Samsung Asset Management Hong Kong (SAMHK), the company’s investment arm’s subsidiary, announced plans in January to offer its Bitcoin Future ETF to retail and institutional investors in Hong Kong.
