Cool Cats held a community town hall on Wednesday, where its founders revealed the NFT’s new strategic direction, product releases, and new partnerships. The blue cat blue-chip is undergoing a rebranding to expand the collection beyond web3 and into mainstream audiences.
New Cool Cats’ Branding
Cool Cats had left hints that things were changing before the town hall. For starters, the NFT underwent a social media blackout that lasted five days, from Thursday, January 26 to Tuesday, January 31. Throughout this time, puzzles and clues spread across Twitter and Discord. However, On the 31st, the brand unveiled its new identity across all social platforms. To be more specific, the new logo features a forward-facing cat on a red background.
Cool Cats’ New Strategic Direction
Since their inception in July 2021, Cool Cats has been a driving force in the NFT space. Eighteen months later, the Cool Cats now have a new direction. “To become the leading entertainment brand that celebrates cool through community-centered storytelling and innovation,” says the company’s vision. Furthermore, the NFT brand intends to onboard one million holders to the Cool Cats ecosystem over the next five years.
Cool Cats and Storytelling
Cool Cats aims to achieve this goal through a two-fold brand strategy.
Firstly, the NFT brand will expand its audience through storytelling content and mainstream brand partnerships. Then, engage its large audience by delivering products and experiences that fully immerse Cool Cats fans in the magic of Cooltopia.
New Products and Experiential Opportunities
Aside from expanding the community and Cool Cats universe, the brand is also introducing new products and experiences. Some of these are:
Cool Score: Cool Cats users will now be able to track, measure, and earn rewards for their participation in the community.
Journeys: Opportunities for interaction within the immersive storytelling experience. These journeys will lead users through Cooltopia’s world. Journeys also introduce a soft staking mechanism for Cats and Pets and a path for the team to reward its most engaged holders with better traits, Digital/IRL rewards, and other benefits!
Explorers: Cool Cats intends to release a new NFT later this year. This NFT will assist in bringing more people into the Web3 space. The Explorer NFTs will provide a new way to represent your digital identity since they offer full-body customization.
Fractures NFTs: These dynamic NFTs enable digital collectible storytelling. The Fractures NFTs will evolve as the holder completes more journeys and unlocks more story levels. Furthermore, this has already begun, with all holders receiving a Fractures NFT after the town hall.

New Partnerships in the Works
The NFT founders also announced several new partnerships during the community town hall.
To begin, Cool Cats has partnered with Ledger and will release Ledger Quest in early February. This quest is part of a collaborative educational initiative. With scams abounding in the NFT space, understanding NFT security is essential.
Furthermore, Cool Cats also announced Hologram as a partner. Holographic technology and 3D avatars allow Cool Cats holders to experience Cool Cats NFTs. The Macys x Cool Cats collaboration was another exciting partnership announcement.
Finally, Cool Cats revealed a teaser image for an upcoming gaming announcement during the town hall. However, we will have to wait for more information in the coming months.
