- ABTC added 416 BTC, lifting its total holdings to 4,783 BTC.
- ProCap Financial crossed 5,000 BTC after adding 49 BTC using a tax-efficient strategy.
- Both companies remain among the world’s top public Bitcoin treasury holders.
American Bitcoin Corp. (ABTC), co-founded by Eric Trump — now serving as chief strategy officer — added 416 BTC to its balance sheet in the week ending Dec. 8, according to a new press release. The company, majority-owned by Hut 8, now holds 4,783 BTC in its reserve.

Eric Trump noted that ABTC’s key benchmark, Satoshis Per Share (SPS), has climbed to 507, marking a 17% increase over the past month. SPS reflects how much Bitcoin is tied to each outstanding ABTC share, a metric the company uses to demonstrate shareholder value tied to treasury growth.
Stock Rebounds Modestly After Flash Crash
ABTC shares are trading slightly higher today, though the stock has not fully recovered from its 50% flash crash on Dec. 2, which was triggered when pre-merger private-placement shares unlocked and early investors sold positions. Despite the volatility, ABTC continues to position itself among the largest publicly traded Bitcoin treasury holders.
ProCap Financial Crosses 5,000 BTC, Uses Tax Strategy to Offset Gains
ProCap Financial (BRR) — the newly completed SPAC led by Anthony Pompliano — also added 49 BTC, pushing its total holdings to the 5,000 BTC milestone. According to the company, the purchase generated a realized loss that can be used to offset future capital gains.
Pompliano highlighted the move as part of a deliberate “tax-conscious optimization strategy” designed to enhance long-term shareholder value.
BRR is seeing a small price bounce today, though the stock is still down more than 60% over the past week following post-merger volatility.

ABTC and BRR Now Among Top Public Bitcoin Holders
Based on data from BitcoinTreasuries.net, ProCap Financial and American Bitcoin Corp now rank 21st and 22nd among the largest publicly traded corporate Bitcoin holders — further evidence that publicly listed firms are competing aggressively to accumulate BTC during periods of market uncertainty.
